A new report shows that affluent white young Americans are increasingly opting to live in the urban city core-- leaving the suburbs to their parents, immigrants, and the less educated. I've long suspected that a widening cultural/demographic gap was emerging in North America, this study appears to support suspicions.
"A new metro map is emerging in the U.S. that challenges conventional thinking about where we live and work, the old concepts of suburbia, Sun Belt and Rust Belt are outdated and at odds with effective governance."
